AVALON INVITED TO AFWERX FUSION 2020

Avalon Holographics is proud to be selected to attend AFWERX Fusion, a three-day virtual event hosted by AFWERX, the innovation program of the United States Air Force.

This annual flagship event brings together industry, individual innovators, academia, investors, military, and government team members to present and discuss innovative solutions for the Air Force.

AFWERX Fusion is centered around the Base of the Future, one of the top focus areas of the Air Force and across the Department of Defense (DoD). 300+ teams will present their innovative solutions as part of an open showcase to attendees, including top Air Force leadership and other military decision-makers and operators.

The AFWERX Base of the Future initiative is made up of six challenges targeted at leveraging the best technology to create an integrated base while maintaining security, being resilient and increasing agility:

  • Improving base security and defense while increasing efficiency and effectiveness

  • Increasing base resiliency by creating stronger infrastructure and the ability to bounce back quickly

  • Leveraging technology for operational effectiveness

  • Creating a culture of innovation to allow the free sharing of ideas on base and increasing the speed of technology adoption

  • Improving the wellbeing of Airmen and their families

  • Reverse engineering legacy parts with the latest additive and agile manufacturing technologies

Avalon Holographics was selected to present our light field display under the “Leveraging technology for operational effectiveness” category as a visualization tool for the Base of the Future. We are excited to demonstrate how natural 3D visualization will improve collaboration and decision making efficiency in high stakes scenarios.
